What patient-education content is appropriate?
Content that helps patients understand process, terms and safety, written in neutral language and reviewed by qualified staff.
Good patient-education content helps people understand how the system works and what to expect. It does not tell them what a product will do for them.
Generally suitable topics
- How a medical cannabis programme works in your area
- What to bring to a consultation or first visit
- Definitions of terms on labels and in paperwork
- Safe storage at home and rules on transport
- How to ask questions of your care team
Handle with care
Pages about specific conditions or effects carry more risk. If they are permitted at all, they need sources, neutral language and clinical review. Many providers leave them out entirely.
Signals of quality
Clear authorship by role, a review date, sources where relevant, and a plain note that the content is general information and not medical advice.
Our content plan guide shows how to organise this. Laws vary by state and country.
